Group is a listed company on Unlisted.
Berkley was a previous New Capital Markets, on the NZX, company called
Submarines Australasia Ltd (SUB). SUB was put into liquidation in 2003 by
its previous directors and major shareholders.
SUB was taken out of liquidation in May 2004 by its new majority
shareholder Readers Capital Investments Ltd. SUB ceased its tourism
operations and was effectively an empty shell with 475 shareholders. The
name was changed to Berkley Group Ltd with a stock ticker code of BRK
and a renounceable rights issue was completed in December 2004.
In the process the company shifted its listing to Unlisted, an alternative trading platform, and now has 501 shareholders. The company uses BK Registries to facilitate its share register.
Berkley has an exciting year ahead with an outlook for new acquisitions and growth in its subsidiary company Property Personnel Ltd.
